Banana Oat Pancakes

Why not make pancakes now that the quarantine allows us to have a quiet breakfast at home? At home we use them on weekends when we have more time to cook, but now they can be cooked at any time Are you willing to take the risk? Everyone including children is welcome to join in.

These oatmeal, banana and cocoa pancakes are a great option for anyone who has never made one before. They’re also very healthy we added a teaspoon of sugar but you can skip it if you don’t want to. When the banana is ripe enough its sweetness is sufficient to keep it from going bad.

Do you have any children? If this is the case they may also assist in the preparation of this breakfast. Take care of the dough, prepare the pancakes in the pan and let them decorate them. A few pieces of fruita walnut cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or dark chocolate chips can make an excellent addition.

Ingredients

  • 30 g. oatmeal
  • 1 ripe banana
  • ½ teaspoon of pure cocoa
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar (you can omit it)
  • Vegetable drink with almonds
  • 1 knob of butter
  • Slices of grilled banana and honey to decorate

Instructions

    1. In a blender, glass combines Place the oat flakes mashed banana, cocoa, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl.
    2. We beat until the mixture is homogeneous then add the drink to the almonds, if necessary until the consistency is similar to that of a thick puree. 1 to 3 tablespoons of milk, in my experience, is usually sufficient.
    3. Allow the dough to rest in the refrigerator while we prepare the grilled banana.
    4. Then in the same nonstick pan, melt a little butter and pour a saucepan of the dough in the center when it's hot.
    5. Over medium heat, cook the pancake until the base is slightly golden and no bubbles appear in the dough. Then we flip it over with a spatula and cook the other side. It is normal for the former to go poorly, but you will succeed.
    6. We transfer the pan to a plate and repeat the previous steps until the dough is finished, heaping the pancakes we're making to keep them warm.
    7. We accompany it with grilled banana and honey.
